Death metal band from Tampa, Florida. Formed in 1985 as [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/1633609?filter_anv=1&anv=Executioner]Executioner[/url], then changed spelling to [a1633609], the band changed their name to Obituary shortly before the release of their first album in 1989. Disbanded in 1997, although a live album surfaced a year later. In 2005 the band reformed, and has continued to tour and release new material.
