Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, musician, filmmaker, DJ, and producer born in Monterrey, Mexico now living in Los Angeles, California. Currently Alan is preforming and releasing music under his own given name as a solo project. Palomo started out his music career with a band known as [a=Ghosthustler], but later took on a more ecstatic approach to electronic music and created the solo project [a=VEGA (18)]. He later founded [a=Neon Indian] in which he would become recognized as a pioneer for the microgenre known as “chillwave". Alan regularly incorporates vintage synthesizers in his music which serve as the main foundation. As an aspiring filmmaker, he also composed scores for the films “Relaxer”, and “Everything Beautiful is Far Away”; and released his own short film 86’d, for which he wrote the theme: Heaven’s Basement. In 2019 he released a new Neon Indian single [m=1787741] as a result of one of the songs that came from him writing the next album for Neon Indian after he has already released 3 albums under the name. However when COVID-19 hit in 2020 he was forced to cancel all events and plans for Neon Indian and the album for it was put on hold. After the pandemic he ended up unlocking a new flow by letting go of the Neon Indian album concept, followed by the Neon Indian name. He bought a piano and learned to play it properly, unlocking a creative current that pulled him in unexpected but fruitful directions and instead started writing and working on a new album under his own given name which he finished by 2022. This album was announced in June of 2023 and it’s called “World Of Hassle”. This album would release by September 15, 2023 under his own name followed by some singles and DJ sets. This marks a new era in Alan’s career exploring a new album concept that references the 80s golden age of rock stars like Bryan Ferry and Sting leaving their own breakthrough projects to strike out as jazzy solo musicians. Alan returns live for the first time since 2019 as his own name with a tour during the Fall of 2023.
